Meghan and Prince Harry will reportedly focus on being behind the cameras rather than in front of them in their future endeavours. After bowing out of the Firm as its senior members and relocating to the US in March 2020, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex spoke at length about their lives and struggles as working royals. In early 2021, they opened up about their relationship with fellow royals and the press in Britain during a bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey. This was followed by a number of personal revelations in programs such as Meghan's Archetypes podcast as well as remarks about their past in interviews.
"Unfortunately, they are not just in a relationship with me but with the entire tabloid press as the third party," Harry said.
The Duke of Sussex accused the press of trying to ruin every relationship he had ever had to sell more newspapers, and told how he and former girlfriend Chelsy Davy were "never on our own" and could never enjoy each other's company away from the "prying eyes of the tabloids".
Harry accused MGN of blagging the couple's flight details and hotel bookings and/or intercepting their voicemails after journalists turned up while they holidayed on a small island off Mozambique.
