Which Hollywood actors did not get along

Hollywood is filled with famous on-screen partnerships, but behind the scenes, many actors have had clashes, feuds, or strained relationships. Here are some of the most famous Hollywood actors who did not get along, often due to personality conflicts, professional rivalry, or personal differences:

1. Bette Davis and Joan Crawford

Feud: One of the most famous and long-lasting feuds in Hollywood history, Davis and Crawford’s rivalry is legendary. Their animosity was partly due to competition for roles and their contrasting personalities. The tension between the two reached a peak during the making of What Ever Happened to Baby Jane? (1962), where their bitter rivalry was said to have resulted in hostile behavior on set. Crawford was known to be more calculating and ambitious, while Davis was fiercely independent and not afraid to speak her mind. Their feud was the inspiration for the TV series Feud (2017).

2. Tommy Lee Jones and Jim Carrey

Feud: Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones reportedly had a very strained relationship while working on the film Batman Forever (1995). Carrey, known for his zany comedic style, and Jones, who was more serious and intense, clashed. Carrey has mentioned in interviews that Jones was openly hostile towards him on set. At one point, Jones reportedly told Carrey, "I hate you. I really don't like you." Carrey also mentioned that Jones didn’t find his humor funny, which added to the tension. Despite this, they managed to complete the film.

3. Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox

Feud: Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox worked together on the Transformers films, but their relationship became strained during and after production. Fox made controversial comments about director Michael Bay, which led to her being dismissed from the franchise. LaBeouf has since talked about the uncomfortable dynamic between them during filming. He claimed that Fox was often at odds with the director and described the set environment as challenging. LaBeouf and Fox have not publicly been in contact in years, though they both moved on from the franchise and later discussed their differences.

4. Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling

Feud: While filming The Nice Guys (2016), Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling reportedly had a difficult relationship. Gosling has mentioned that Crowe would often "heckle" him, and at one point, Crowe threw a piece of furniture in his direction. Gosling, known for his more laid-back and professional demeanor, seemed to have trouble adjusting to Crowe’s more volatile and confrontational style. However, the two eventually became friends and found common ground as the filming progressed.
