Drink
In China you will never see empty tea cups. Hosts are always aware that their guests' teacups are full. When they refill the cup, you have to touch the table as a way of thanking them.
Gifts and compliments
Chinese people usually reject gifts three times before accepting them. This is a somewhat uncomfortable situation for Westerners, but one that must be faced and kept trying until successful.
As strange as it may seem, compliments in China do not have to be accepted graciously. Praise is rejected because it is seen as a symbol of vanity.
Pale skin
The Chinese population wants to have pale skin. A desire that often becomes a true obsession. This is why on many local beaches people are covered with a mask. A kind of facial bikini.
Geese
One of the most surprising strange customs in China is that police officers sometimes use domesticated geese instead of dogs. This is especially true in the Xinjiang province, located in northwest China. The reason is that geese are birds with very good eyesight, strong and, if the occasion requires it, they can be aggressive.
