Taylor Swift's Long History With Kansas City Chiefs Coach Andy Reid Was The 'Last Thing' Travis Kelce 'Wanted To Hear'
The budding romance between Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and pop superstar Taylor Swift has taken the NFL world by storm. But it seems their love story might have an unexpected twist, courtesy of Chiefs head coach Andy Reid.
During a recent interview, Reid revealed that he has a long history with Swift, dating back to when she was a young girl in Philadelphia. He even jokingly claimed to have set her up with Kelce!
"I knew her from Philadelphia, her dad was a big NFL fan," Reid said. "So I had met her when she was really young, and her father."
"I joked about setting Kelce up, and, you know, I'm just saying!" he added with a wink.
While Reid's comments were meant to be lighthearted, they reportedly didn't go over well with Kelce. According to sources close to the couple, Kelce was none too pleased to hear about his coach's connection to Swift.
"Travis wasn't exactly thrilled to hear that Andy had met Taylor before him," a source told Us Weekly. "He likes to think of their relationship as something special and unique, and knowing that Andy has a history with her puts a bit of a damper on that."
The source added that Kelce is "a very competitive guy, and he doesn't like the idea of anyone having an edge on him, even if it's just a friendly connection."
Despite Kelce's initial reaction, it seems he and Swift are still going strong. The couple have been spotted together at several Chiefs games this season, and they appear to be very happy together.
So, what does this all mean for Kelce and Swift's relationship? Only time will tell. But one thing is for sure: their love story just got a whole lot more interesting.
It remains to be seen how Kelce will ultimately feel about Reid's comments, but for now, it seems like he and Swift are happy together. And that's all that really matters.
