Princess of Wales and King Charles both discharged from London hospital

On Monday, January 29, 2024, both King Charles III and Catherine, Princess of Wales, were discharged from the King Edward VII's Hospital in London after undergoing separate medical procedures.

The King, 75, was admitted to the hospital on Friday, January 26, for a "corrective procedure" to treat an enlarged prostate, a benign condition that affects many men his age. The Palace said the procedure was "successful" and that the King was "in good spirits." He was accompanied by Queen Camilla during his stay in the hospital.

The Princess of Wales, 42, was admitted to the same hospital on January 16 for an undisclosed abdominal surgery. The Palace said the surgery was "successful" and that the Princess was "recovering well." She received well wishes from the public and royal fans worldwide.

Both the King and Princess of Wales were seen leaving the hospital separately on Monday morning. The King was smiling and waving to well-wishers, while the Princess was not seen by the public.

Their discharges from the hospital mark the end of a period of concern for the royal family and the public. Both the King and Princess of Wales are expected to make a full recovery and resume their royal duties in the near future.
