In a recent interview on the "Let's Go!" podcast with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald, and Jim Gray, Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid shared a funny anecdote about how singer Taylor Swift, who is dating Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, teased him
Reid, who coached in Philadelphia from 1999 to 2012, revealed that he knew Swift's father, Scott Swift, who played football at Delaware. "She's been great," Reid said. "Her dad played at Delaware and was a big football fan and good guy, so I'd met him there."
When Kelce and Swift first started dating, Reid couldn't resist playfully teasing the tight end about his connection to the singer. "That was the last thing Trav wanted to hear—that I knew her before him," Reid joked on the podcast. "She told him, 'I know your coach,' and he went, 'Oh gosh, come on.'"
Reid also mentioned that he is happy for Kelce and Swift. "She's a good girl and I'm happy for Trav, and there has been no distraction that way at all," he said. "Travis handled it right, she's handled it right and we just move forward. It hasn't been a problem at all."
Kelce and Swift have been dating since May 2023, and they have been seen together at several Chiefs games this season. While they have mostly kept their relationship private, they have also shared a few sweet moments on social media.
In August, Kelce posted a photo of himself and Swift on Instagram with the caption, "Life is good." And in December, Swift gave Kelce a shoutout in her acceptance speech for winning Artist of the Decade at the American Music Awards. "My boyfriend, who is somewhere out there watching right now," she said, "thank you for the endless support."
